The "Music- & Artstage", as Hangar 49 describes itself, is one of the rougher jazz spots in Berlin. Sitting underneath the railway arches of the S-Bahn, you will feel its independent spirit at once. The tiny venue - holding about 200 people - is one of the gems in the Berlin underground scenes though. Hosting a variety of events from poetry slams to electro music, the true highlights are the jam sessions: Every Tuesday there is a blues jam session and every Wednesday there is a jazz jam session, which are well worth a visit.
